Additional Advice

Community Projects are what we call, simply, projects in our community.

They can be advertised projects with our Partners, or a project that you bring from your own work in the community.

Typically, students spend 40-80 hours on a project, in or outside of the organisation. Students can work in groups, and can undertake a project multiple times.

The project can take any form, but it must be collaborative - that is, students need to collaborate with the partner or with peers to create meaningful change (it isn't an activity in isolation).

For students looking to contribute to a Partner project - check out the advertised Partners and Projects.

For students who are already working on creating change in community, you can register your project through the Course Pathway Plan. If you'd like to advertise your project to more students on this website, you can reach out to McCusker.Education@anu.edu.au.

For folks in community wanting to attract our excellent students to projects in your organisation, please reach out to McCusker.Education@anu.edu.au.

Get Involved

If you are interested in working on a Partner project, please reach out to McCusker.Education@anu.edu.au and let us know:

  • who you are
  • why you're interested in this project
  • what you might be able to bring to this project
  • when you would be able to work on the project with the partner
  • a recent CV that we can pass onto the partner
Once we've received your interest, we'll give you the most up-to-date information about the project and how you might be best able to contribute.

Please note that although we try out best to connect the right students with the right projects, expressing your interest does not guarantee working with the partner.
