Project Outline

The CSS Community Website for Student Experience is a College-wide initiative designed to create a central hub that brings together student resources, opportunities, events, wellbeing support, academic guidance, and community activities. Beyond providing information, the initiative aims to foster a stronger sense of belonging, identity, and pride within the College of Systems and Society by helping students connect with their peers, staff, and the broader CSS and ANU community.
Students could work with us on a variety of projects, including:
  • Accessibility – ensuring the site follows best practices for inclusive design
  • AI-powered features – developing chat assistants
  • Student research – conducting surveys, interviews, and evaluations to measure the site's impact on student experience
  • Community engagement – designing initiatives that encourage participation, belonging, and peer interaction

  • During Semester: Attend the Living Lab project session (generally about Week 3) to get started
  • All other times: Reach out to McCusker.Education@anu.edu.au and let us know that you're interested in the project. We'll connect you up with the project partner. Please include a CV that we can pass on.
