Class Overview

The SoCIETIE Initiative runs in every session and semester, but there are a few differences in how we focus:

  • Semester-based courses are generally supported with a regular series of KNoTs - this is great if you want to learn broadly over the pattern of semester
  • Autumn, Spring and Summer sessions are generally for independent projects - this is great if you want to dedicate time to a social impact project you are bringing to the course
  • Winter 2026 will host an intensive ‘Ideas Summit’

Assessment Milestones

The two main assessment items are the KNoT Completion Task and the Learning Portfolio.
