The ARC Laureate Planetary Health Equity Hothouse, in partnership with the ANU Privilege Project, is running its fourth Future Leaders Program — a two-week residential program at the Australian National University in Canberra.

The 2026 theme is "The equity imperative: pathways to exiting the consumptogenic system," with an intensive schedule of workshops and masterclasses covering theory, transdisciplinary research methods, and knowledge mobilisation, alongside dedicated writing and discussion time.

Who can apply? The program is open to current PhD candidates, early career researchers (up to 3 years post-PhD), and early career professionals from government or civil society (up to 3 years in their current or similar role), from organisations across Australia and globally. Career interruptions such as parental leave, caring responsibilities, or serious illness or injury will be taken into account.

Applications close 11:00pm AEST, 12 June 2026.
